This is my go to 100% natural DIY make-up remover which I have tried and tested for the past 6 months and continue to make to this day.
There is something rather enlightening to know each and every ingredient used to make this, with the added bonus of knowing they are good quality. Where as using convenience store bought make up remover or wipes they can include some harmful and unnecessary ingredients.
When applying something like make-up remover to the face on a daily bases, It makes sense to apply something with no hidden nasties!
If this wasn’t enough, by ditching the make up wipes or cotton round habit, you will save money – A pack of wipes can now cost up to £7! & lasts around 1 month, which will potentially save a healthy £84 a year. Also even more importantly you can begin to reduce your waste & help minimise your carbon footprint.

In this recipe I have added 2 different types of essential oils (Lavender & Grapefruit). This is the part of the recipe that you can experiment with and can change to suite your own tastes/needs. I have opted for Lavender as this suits my skin well and has an antibacterial property. I have also added grapefruit due to the upbeat and fresh aroma. Grapefruit or Orange essential oil fragrance also has a calming effect. Other suitable oils to use would be Tea Tree, Rosemary, Chamomile, Peppermint or Lemongrass. You may need to use less Tea Tree and Peppermint oil for example then the amount used in the recipe due to its high strength, but these too have great antibacterial properties that is beneficial to the skin.

100% Bamboo or 100% Cotton cloths (I use a super soft 100% Organic Bamboo face cloths by Facetheory which are still unbelievably soft after 6 months use)
